Angela Benauer known professionally as Angella Phillips born September 22, 1991 in Edo State, Nigeria is an international model and swimwear designer.
Early Life & Background
Angella Phillips is the second of the four children born in Agenebode, Edo state, to Nigerian parents.
Angella completed her secondary education at Isolog college in Ojodu berger part of Lagos state after which she studied Accounting at the University of Benin, Edo state, Nigeria.
Career
Her passion for modeling drove her to the industry at age 17 but started modeling professionally at 20 when she was done with her secondary school.
She was the first Nigerian freelance model to feature in exclusive shoots with top Nigerian photographers and this made her most sought after. She has worked with the top notable photographers in Nigeria and a few foreign Photographers both on jobs and as a muse for Hakeem Salaam, Hokof Photoworks Paris, Emmanuel Oyeleke, Reze Bonna, Lakin Ogunbanwo, Luke Kuisis and Neil Kirby among others.
She’s stunning with a height of 5 feet 8 inches.
Despite her height, in 2012 she booked her first biggest runway gig where she walked for Lagos Fashion And Design Week.
After that she then moved on to become a face of some fashion brands such as Jewelry by Emisara, Washington Roberts, Viv La Resistance, Kiki Kimanu, Iamisigo,Sunny Rose Paris, Grey Projects, Zashadu amongst others both off and on the runways.
She has appeared in editorials and campaigns for Allure Magazine of Vanguard Newspaper, Rough Africa Magazine, the National Daily watch Newspaper, the Guardian newspaper, Wow Magazine, Dosier Magazine South Africa, Bona Magazine South Africa, Vogue Italia, Togo Tv (TVT) for fashionhouse Vlisco, Grey Projects, Zashadu Bags, PQ Clothing SA, DurexNG condom, GTBank SME MarketHub, COCA-COLA Nigeria.
Angella was scouted by Few Models Nigeria in 2017 which became her Mother Agency. In 2018 she signed with Boss Models Johannesburg as an international model.
PERSONAL LIFE
Angella is married to a machine Engineer from Austria. She joined the movement called ‘Models Against Malaria” where she volunteers and performs humanitarian works to help donate and educate the less fortunate communities in Nigeria.
Angella Phillips launched her swimwear line in 2018; called Angella Phillips Swimwear. It’s always been her dream to have a swimwear line because of her love for sand, water and bikinis.
