Bud Light Unveils Brand New Lions-Themed Can for 2021 Season

Detroit lions Fans have good reason to be very excited about football during the upcoming 2021 season, and another reason has emerged that should fire people for a new year. Bud Light has unveiled a new Lions-themed can for the 2021 season, and the results are quite impressive in terms of design and workmanship. The latest Lions news delivered right to your inbox! On August 23, Detroit fans can begin collecting the can for a limited time. The can features a cool design with several relevant sayings for Lions fans, as well as a very appropriate color scheme.

Also, this is not all Bud Light has planned for the start of the 2021 season in Detroit. Ahead of the team’s Week 1 contest, Bud Light will update the Pride Plaza bike racks with a welcome message, along with Bud Light-themed activations for fans. A couple of Lions legends will also host a chalk talk event during the pregame power hour.

In all, it leads to a few great weeks designed to help fans get excited once again for the return of soccer. Frank Ragnow Partners with Bud Light and Introduces Custom Can Pack Bud Light also teamed up with Lions center Frank Ragnow, who revealed his own custom can pack addition for 2021. As Ragnow recently tweeted, he believes the cans are on fire this season for Detroit fans.

Ragnow is certainly a good pitcher for the product considering his importance this season. Ragnow was rehired this offseason and appears to be the most important member of the team’s offensive line given his position on the roster. It’s fair to say that with those special cans, you could also count yourself as a huge Bud Light fan.

Lions fans won free Bud Light with the contest last season

The city and the team have already proven to have an excellent relationship with Bud Light. Last year, a free beer competition was held between Detroit kicker Matt Prater and Denver kicker Brandon McManus. If fans were more nervous and wanted Prater to hit from a distance all year long in 2020, the reason revolved around a simple contest. Prater and McManus clashed with the promise of free Bud Light beer for an entire city at stake. If Prater hit the longest of the pair, Detroit charged free beer. If McManus did the work, Denver would get the award.

The big news came late last season, when it was revealed that Detroit had won in the end, claiming the free beer award thanks to Prater, who hit the long field goal in his competition with McManus this season. Prater landed a 59-yard long kick against the Washington soccer team early in the 2020 season, and that was enough to overtake McManus, who connected 58 yards last year to just lose the competition.

Bud Light proved that they had indeed not forgotten about the contest with a timely tweet after the season finale, acknowledging the achievement and promising free beer for Motor City.

Will a similar contest reappear soon? No one knows what the future holds, but at the very least, fans will have a new can to chase for the 2021 season. It’s just another element to look forward to in the return to football.
