David Lutteral and Emily Seebohm
Emily Seebohm and Brisbane radio host David “Luttsy” Lutteral’s relationship began in 2019 and lasted until March 2021. Their relationship began after Seebohm’s messy split from fellow swimmer Mitch Larkin, who allegedly broke up due to their conflicting lifestyles.
The duo had been a prominent feature on the Brisbane social scene and was spotted together in December at a racing meeting. Seebohm, 28, who represented Australia at 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympics, parted ways with her fellow swimmer Larkin in 2018.
Seebohm, 28, even joked about marrying breakfast host Nova, 44, when she shared a post on social media last year that suggested she had a proposal in the future. “She is suggesting that she is my move, my move would obviously be to propose,” Lutteral responded when he discussed the post on the radio. “It’s good to know that’s where her head is.”
Larkin and Seebohm were the golden couples in Australian swimming, dating for three years before the backstrokers parted ways over allegations that he was cheating. Seebohm repeatedly targeted Larkin on social media after her ugly breakup, but denied her allegations and has since moved on with law student Sinead Cronin.
Seebohm kicked off 2021 by publicly revealing his two-year struggle with an eating disorder. Seebohm posted a heartfelt confession on Instagram, revealing that his unhealthy obsession with losing weight resulted in bingeing, purging, laxatives, and skipping meals.
She also admitted to feeling embarrassed whenever she wore bathing suits. The 28-year-old vowed to treat her body better in 2021 and hoped her story would encourage others struggling with eating disorders to do the same.
